Cut from the cross-section of the leg, our pasture raised pork shanks are packed with flavor and nutrients. A very lean cut, slow cooking is a must for tender, fall-off-the-bone success. Dredge, sear, and braise on the stove or in the oven for 3 hours ; nestle in the slow cooker with root vegetables, beer or wine; or speed up the process with a pressure cooker. Great with beans, braised collards and root vegetables. You can also substitute our pork shanks for veal and make succulent Osso Buco.
