Homage to Ham

Our no sugar-added forested pork ham can be a healthy hickory-smoked addition to your kid’s lunchbox, the centerpiece holiday ham, or succulent slices on a charcuterie board. All Grass Roots forested pork ham comes from animals that are all allowed to freely roam on natural, non-GMO pasture and are never treated with hormones or antibiotics. They root and wallow in the forested areas of our farms, which provides environmentally friendly benefits to local plant diversity and soil quality. Unlike our cattle, pigs are not ruminants, which is why we supplement their diet with a non-GMO, custom-mix feed ration containing probiotics and nutrients.

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this ham. We mainly ate it in sandwiches, and every time we ate it we commented to one another how glad we were that we had ordered it because the taste was so excellent! It’s also so encouraging to know that what you’re eating is actually good for you because of the way the animal has been raised!"

"Wonderful perfectly smoked ham hocks which by the way seem to be very difficult to find these days."
