Crispy Air Fryer Ranch Chicken Skins

Our pasture-raised chicken skins crisp up beautifully in the air fryer. These Keto friendly skins are rich, golden, and full of flavor. Finished with a simple ranch seasoning, this easy recipe turns an often-overlooked cut into a crave-worthy, zero-waste snack that eats like chips.

Ingredients

Olive Oil (optional)
1–2 tsp
Dried Parsley
1 tbsp
Dried Dill
1–2 tsp
Garlic Powder
1 tsp
Onion Powder
1 tsp
Dried Chives (optional)
1 tsp
Black Pepper
½ tsp
Salt (add after cooking)
to taste
Smoked Paprika (optional)
a pinch for depth

Utensils

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 350°F.

Pat chicken skins dry. Using kitchen shears or a sharp knife, cut each whole skin into smaller ā€œchip-sizedā€ pieces (about 6–8 pieces per skin).

Lightly toss with olive oil if desired.

Arrange pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Air fry for 12 minutes (flipping halfway through), or until crispy and golden.

Remove from the air fryer and immediately toss with ranch seasoning. Add salt to taste.

Let cool slightly and they’ll continue to crisp as they rest.

Notes:

  • Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Keep an eye on smaller pieces as they can crisp faster.
  • Best enjoyed fresh for maximum crunch.
