As Nature Intended

As Nature Intended

Hey there, fellow food lovers!

What if I told you the 'grass-fed' beef in your grocery cart is nothing like what nature intended?

A fascinating study from 2022 found that the quality of grass-fed beef varies wildly between producers. How much? Well, when they looked at the important omega-6 to omega-3 ratio (a key marker of nutritional quality), they found some producers' beef scored a concerning 28:1, while others achieved an excellent 1.8:1.

Where does Grass Roots stand? Our tests show our beef sits at 1.88:1 - right where nature intended it to be!

Why does this matter for your family's table?

The science shows that when cattle spend their whole lives grazing on diverse pastures (not just getting a few bites of grass before heading to the feedlot), amazing things happen:

2x more beneficial CLAs

25% more healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids

3x more vitamin E

Up to 10x more beta-carotene

Our own testing revealed something even more exciting: our grass-fed and finished ground beef packs more than 5 times the omega-3s compared to conventional beef - that's 200mg vs. 36mg per serving!

What makes our approach different?

First off, our cattle are basically four-legged athletes, staying lean and healthy out on pasture. None of that feedlot lifestyle here! They're munching on diverse grasses and herbs, which loads their meat up with all sorts of good stuff - more vitamins E and B12extra minerals, and these amazing compounds called CLAs that help keep your immune system humming.

Speaking of keeping things natural - here's something that'll curl your toes: in conventional feedlots, they pump cattle full of antibiotics just to help them survive eating grain (which, by the way, isn't exactly what nature designed cows to eat!).

At Grass Roots? We skip all that nonsense. Our cattle eat what they're meant to eat, living their best lives out on nutrient-rich pasture.

Ready to taste the difference?

Because I know you care about what goes on your family's table as much as I care about what goes on ours, I've got something special to share. We're rolling out our small-batch 30oz Sweetheart Steaks - these butterflied ribeyes will make your taste buds do a happy dance. They're marbled just right, tender as can be, and packed with all that grass-fed goodness I've been talking about.

Here's to eating well and doing good.

Your farmer,

Cody
