Forested pork is an important qualifier to look for when you’re choosing the bacon, sausages, pork chops and roasts that will nourish you and your loved ones. Forested pigs are allowed to root and wallow in the forested areas of our farms. And because they are not ruminants, we supplement their natural foraging habits with a non-GMO, custom-mix feed ration that contains healthy probiotics and nutrients. Our farms practice regenerative farming, which supports plant diversity, soil restoration, and improved watersheds. All Grass Roots farms and processing facilities adhere to strict ethical and hygiene standards, and provide a fair wage for all our farmers.
