Ingredients
Utensils
- Grill
- Tongs
- Mixing Bowl
- Small bowl
- Paper towels
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika together, wisk with a fork until it's all combined.
Use paper towels to pat the wings dry, then place them in a large mixing bowl.
Coat with olive oil and season generously with the dry mix.
Mix until the wings are thoroughly covered.
To cook on a grill:
-
Prepare your grill for two-zone cooking—one side with direct heat (flame) and the other with indirect heat.
-
Grill the wings over direct heat, flipping every few minutes until both sides are crispy and nicely charred. Then transfer them to the indirect heat zone, close the lid, and cook for another 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the largest wing reaches at least 180°F.
To cook in the oven:
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
(This allows air to circulate for even cooking and helps mimic grill-like crispiness.) -
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 20 minutes.
Flip them over and bake for another 20–25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches at least 180°F.
If needed, broil them for the last 2–3 minutes to get extra char and crisp.
While the wings finish cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small pan over medium-low heat, combine the butter, hot sauce, and honey. Stir until melted and well blended.
Once the wings are fully cooked, remove them from the grill and toss them in the sauce until evenly coated.
Plate them up and ENJOY! 🙌🏻
