1/2 onion
Eggs
4 large

1 cup
Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup

1 package

to taste

Utensils

  • Skillet
  • large Bowl
  • 9\ Pie Plate

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the sliced onion until soft and slightly caramelized (about 5 minutes). Set aside to cool.

Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or tart pan. Roll out the puff pastry and press it into the dish, trimming any excess and crimping the edges if desired.

Evenly spread the ham, cooked bacon, and sautéed onions over the puff pastry. Sprinkle the Swiss and cheddar cheese on top.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper. Pour over the ham, bacon, and cheese mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is completely set.
Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
