Farmhouse Bacon, Ham and Cheese Quiche

Ingredients

1 cup, diced
1/2 cup, cooked and chopped
Yellow onion, thinly sliced
1/2 onion
Eggs
4 large
Milk or cream
1 cup
Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup
Puff pastry, thawed
1 package
Butter
1 Tbsp
Salt and pepper
to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and lightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or tart pan. Roll out the puff pastry and press it into the dish, trimming any excess and crimping the edges if desired.

Layer the ham, cooked bacon, and sautéed onions evenly over the pastry. Top with the Swiss and cheddar cheese.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the filling.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is fully set.

Let the quiche rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
