Chicken Burger

Chicken Burger
This hearty portion can be accompanied by roasted potatoes or a fresh salad of your choice.

Ingredients

Yellow onion, finely diced
1/4 cup
Garlic clove, minced

Smoked paprika
1/2 tsp
Cumin
1/4 tsp
Olive oil
1 Tbsp
Salt and Pepper
to taste
Whole-grain bun, tortilla or lettuce wrap
1
Tomato (optional topping)
1 slice
Avocado, sliced (optional topping)

Instructions

 

1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, diced onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

2. Shape the mixture into a burger patty (about 1-inch thick).

3. Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add 1 tsp of olive oil. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).

4. Assemble using a whole-grain bun, tortilla or lettuce wrap as the base, add your choice of toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, and mustard or light mayo)
