Whole grain or sourdough bread
1 Slice
Avocado

Salt and Pepper

  • Small bowl

Instructions

 

1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy. Remove from heat and set aside on a paper towel to drain any excess fat.

2. Toast your slice of whole grain or sourdough bread in a toaster or on a skillet for a few minutes until it’s golden brown and crispy.

3. While the bread is toasting, scoop out the flesh of the avocado into a bowl and mash with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky, depending on your preference. Optionally, mix in a few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and some pepper to taste.

4. Once the bread is toasted, spread the mashed avocado generously on top. Layer the crispy turkey bacon on top of the avocado.

Optional toppings- add sliced tomato for some freshness, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for spice, and a final touch of salt and pepper to taste.
