OUTDOORS, ON GRASS.
This chicken lived in an open-air enclosure with 450 of it’s feathered friends. In it’s lifetime, it had access to 28,000 sq. ft. of fresh pasture.
FORAGE, GMO-FREE FEED.
This bird was allowed to freely forage for grubs and bugs. It also ate 13 pounds of a custom-mixed ration of corn and soy from Hiland Naturals that included a blend of breed-specific nutrients.
NATURAL STATE PROCESSING.
This small-scale, traditional poultry processing facility in Clinton, AR, is a co-owned by Grass Roots farmers and Cypress Valley meat company. This chicken was one of 998 processed on the same day.
