Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative is farmer-owned and farmer-operated. All of our members are raising livestock in Arkansas and are committed to the highest standards of agricultural sustainability. Because we are small farms operating with carefully-studied animal husbandry techniques, we spend a lot of time and attention tending to our land and animals. We have joined together to better meet the needs of our customers.

As awareness about the nutritional and environmental benefits of pastured animals spreads so does the demand for these meats. Operating as a cooperative, our small farms are able to share resources and responsibilities, which makes processing, marketing, and distribution more efficient and cost effective. This means that our farmers can focus on the quality of our meats and our staff can meet our customers’ expectations.


We joined the co-op because it is working towards the same goals as us, restoring local agricultural communities through sustainable practices. We are able to have a stable market that reaches a large customer base, and we get technical assistance. We are able to focus more on production than marketing at this early stage in our farm. This allows us to get the highest quality out to more customers than we could achieve working alone.
